Elise Regina, OD

Dr. Elise Regina is a board certified and New York State licensed optometrist, who provides comprehensive eye care to patients of all ages at City Eye MD. She also serves as an Adjunct Clinical Instructor for the SUNY College of Optometry.

 

Dr. Regina received her Doctor of Optometry degree from SUNY College of Optometry. She was one of four students selected for the Glaucoma Microcredential program, which gave her advanced training in the treatment and management of glaucoma patients. She was published in Optometry Times for a research article she co-authored titled “Corneal Hysteresis and biomechanics growing in diagnostic importance.” Dr. Regina was also a member of Beta Sigma Kappa, the optometry honors fraternity, throughout all four years of optometry school.


Dr. Regina completed her clinical training at Bellevue Hospital, NYU Faculty Practice and here at City Eye MD. She has practiced with multiple ophthalmologists who specialize in ocular
disease, glaucoma, cornea, cataract and refractive surgery. She is trained in the treatment and management of ocular disease, pre and post-operative surgical care and specialty contact lenses.

Dr. Regina specializes in the use of medically necessary contact lenses for diseased and irregular corneas. She has extensive experience fitting scleral (MSD) and gas permeable (GP) lenses for
patients with conditions such as keratoconus and corneal transplants. She is passionate about her profession and her patients.
