Nareh Keshishyan, OD

Dr. Keshishyan is a New York State licensed optometrist, who provides
comprehensive eye care at City Eye MD. She is a graduate of SUNY State College of Optometry, where she also completed a residency in Primary Eye Care.

 

Her residency education focused on specialized training in the treatment and management of corneal diseases and disorders, retinal pathology, glaucoma, pediatric eye care (including children with specialty needs), as well as the pre- and post-operative care of patients undergoing refractive surgery. Dr. Keshishyan also has extensive experience in the fitting of specialty contact lenses.


Dr. Keshishyan has served as an Assistant Clinical Instructor at the University Eye Center during her residency, and has presented talks on the subject of corneal conditions. She has presented at the American Academy of Optometry, as well as the Global Specialty Lens Symposium.

 

Throughout her undergraduate and post-graduate studies, she has also been heavily involved with community outreach programs and several leadership organizations, earning her the Optometry Student in Focus Leadership Award in 2013.


Dr. Keshishyan earned her baccalaureate degree in Psychobiology and a Minor in Armenian Studies from the University of California, Los Angeles. She speaks English, conversational Spanish, and Armenian.
